Nothing against romance options in principle, and I'm sure there are ways to improve them versus cut them entirely, but imo the last couple Persona games kinda fall into a character writing trap where because all the women have to be romance targets they play up a lot of tropes in a way that I've found sort of takes away from the characters and at worst can.
